She just recently announced that she has reached 1000 Patreon users. Can you imagine that??? Even if they picked one of the lower tiers that’s only $10 bucks a month, that’s $10K a month to her. And I’m sure most of her followers are in a much higher bracket than that, so let’s just say the average user was maybe more like $35, that’s $35K a month!!! That’s $420K a year before taxes! I think Patreon is absolute crap and I hate it, but London may be the SOLE person to actually have a truly successful run with it and is able to support her life completely from her earnings on it. Granted, she is MASSIVELY the exception and not the rule, yet every other chick on IG is trying to emulate her and it just isn’t going to happen. It’s a crap system, and she got lucky more than likely because she was an early adopter and was in the game before most. Just hard to imagine someone could feasibly pull in a few hundred grand a year just going around and taking pictures of themselves. Literally not ever doing any real work.
Damn, that’s a very interesting breakdown of data, Blakmagik. And i see the truth in it too. I’ve browse through Patreon as a platform, i’m a professional illustrator and i’m not feeling that platform. but whatever, she would be the exception with her content, but there are other creative people on there who might be pulling that type of number. As far as the breakdown, even with Patreon’s fees, that’s still a couple stacks well.
Yeah…not gonna lie, I wish I could make a living like that! Lol. Basically just have people handing me money while I went around the country and my only work was to snap some pics of myself and the occasional video. Granted, nobody wants to see me. Lol!
